Billionaire kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme, Onwuamadike, alias Evans, has filed an application seeking to be released on bail.
He also prayed the court to give his case an accelerated hearing.
However, the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions, Ms. Titilayo Shitta-Bay, has described the bail application, seeking accelerated hearing filed alongside an application seeking to quash the charges as conflicting and confusing as well as an abuse of court processes.
According to Shitta-Bay, it is a ploy to frustrate the trial.
Details later…

The trial of Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, the kidnap kingpin popularly known and addressed as Evans, continued at the Ikeja High Court on Friday, November 3, 2017.
The kidnap suspect was in court alongside five others against whom different charges are being leveled.
Evans appeared calmer in court on Friday as the trial lasted over two hours following the drama by his counsel who asked that some charges be struck out for want of proof of evidence.
