Peoples Democratic Party has said its guidelines for 2019 presidential primary election is not yet ready and it did not demand N12million for presidential aspirants to pick up forms. The party disclosed this in a statement signed by its National Organising Secretary, Austin Akobundu saying  that the clarification became necessary following a publication by a national newspaper titled ‘PDP list guidelines for presidential aspirants, demands N12m for forms. “We wish to state categorically that the Party is still in the process of drawing up the guidelines for its presidential primary election. It is therefore misleading to claim that the party has ‘listed its guidelines’ not to talk of the cost of nomination forms. At the appropriate time, the proposals will be presented to NEC of the Party which will approve as it deems fit. That's what the National Institute of Communicable Diseases’ latest listeriosis outbreak report reveals. A total of 81 people have died in South Africa from the disease‚ contracted from eating food contaminated with the food borne pathogen Listeria‚ according to the NICD. In early December‚ the number of dead totalled 36. The number of confirmed cases - in what has been described as the biggest listeriosis outbreak - is now 767‚ up from 748 on January 12. In South Africa‚ te outbreak is spread across all nine provinces. Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex president Goodluck Jonathan has reacted to recent claims by the presidency that 756 people were killed in 2-years under his adminitration. In his response, Reno said Jonathan dealt with the fulani herdsmen decisively. Former President Jonathan wishes to express his condolences to the government and people of Benue, Kaduna, Taraba, Adamawa and Nasarawa states, over the recent spate of killings occasioned by herdsmen/farmers clashes. His heart bleeds for the sufferings of Nigerians and he calls on the authorities to do everything in their power to put an end to these needless killings.
