IN arriving at the fact that the nation throbs with a plethora of questions over the necessity of the foreign trips of President Muhammadu Buhari, the presidency succeeds in feeling the pulse of the citizens. But it clearly underestimates the difficulty of stemming the impatience of the citizens by offering justification for the president’s travels. The citizens may not have wholly aligned themselves with the Emersonian disparagement of travelling as a fool’s paradise since those who made England, Italy or Greece venerable were not peripatetic. But the urgency of the need to solve the country’s myriad of problems at home and the unsavoury memories of the globe-trotting of past political leaders  have crashed what was left of the brittle confidence in our leaders’ fascination with overseas’ trips. The All Progressives Congress, (APC), South East, on Sunday faulted criticisms trailing President Muhammadu Buhari’s incessant trips abroad. Mr Osita Okechukwu, the spokesman, South-East APC leadership caucus, who spoke to journalists in Enugu, said the party “fully supports President Muhammadu Buhari’s frequent trips abroad.” He stated that for the party, “Buhari is acting nobly as any a good father, whose family is not only deadly broke, but his house is on fire. He is running helter-skelter to save our dear country. This is not the kind of task to delegate. “As a father of a broken house, he has no alternative except to run to friends and well wishers in a desperate bid to salvage our dear country, especially, when the money which could have been our reserve for the rainy day had been carted away by marauders. Another strange thing happened in Maryland this afternoon. A wealthy man who resides in Mende Maryland whose name I cannot disclose due to his family and some other reason was driving past Maryland traffic, suddenly parks his car ( Toyota Matrix)  near the police check point and he came out of his car and was walking away suddenly slumped and die, and the police and pedestrians along the road rushed to the scene, at first they thought he fainted or was epileptic not to be confirmed that he had given up the ghost. So the police got his phone from inside his car and got in contact to his family (his wife) and they also rushed down to the scene to his families surprise to find out that the bread winner of their family is dead. This is very strange but true. Officers say they are not treating his death as suspicious and are not looking for anyone else in connection to his death.

I was just driving around the Maryland bus stop early this morning around 4:45an to buy fuel for my Gen when a trailer with container lost control and an accident occurred and it fell on the road at Maryland round traffic light. Luckily no pedestrians were at the spot at this time and no soul was lost and the driver too was not hurt. Make God dey protect us all for this our country Nigeria, na everyday different accidents dey happen and people dey die. I'm just glad no soul was lost and everything has been resolved in an instant and the roads re now clear for motorists to drive pass cos the Lastma and Police men at the checkpoint there quickly got everything resolved.
